Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. Dental implants can improve your appearance, your self-esteem, your oral health, your comfort, and/or your speech.
The process of placing an implant does, however, take some time to complete. First, the periodontist or oral surgeon will place the implant post into the bone socket of your missing tooth. The bone will then need to heal around the post to secure it into place. Once the bone has healed, we will attach another post that connects to the implant, which will eventually hold your permanent restoration. When the permanent restoration is ready, we will place it onto the posts, which will complete the process of your new-and-improved smile!
