COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

A Message To Our Patients

COVID-19 has changed all of our lives and the ways we have to work. Changes are occurring in everyone's work place. All of medicine and especially in dentistry are taking extra precautions. We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our
commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and youmay have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and
comfortable.

As part of the new Kentucky Board of Dentistry and American Dental Association guidelines, we have updated our infection control protocols and PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements for our team.

We have also implemented some new check-in procedures:
  • When you arrive at the office, park and call us. (623 3761) We are asking all patients to wait in their car.
  • A member of our team will either meet you at your vehicle or at the front door.
  • You will be asked to fill out a COVID-19 screening form and your temperature will be taken.
  • All persons entering the office are required to bring their own mask or cloth face covering.
  • Family members and companions will be asked to wait inside their vehicles as our reception area is not open at this time.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 859 623 3761.

If you are in pain or have swelling, please tell that to our staff so we can get you in faster.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Dr. Ney and staff specifically are doing the following to protect you and us from COVID-19:

1. Checking patients temperature
2. Wearing n95 masks
3. Wearing gloves
4. Face Shields if we are doing a procedure which will cause a spray
6. We leave shoes at the office
5. The office will be fogged 2X per day with antiviral/bacteria sprays (the same spray that they use in hospital surgery rooms)
6. All instruments will be sterilized in the autoclave or they will be disposable.
7. Doctors and staff will be wearing hair nets. If you feel that you want one, we will give you one.
8. All carts, tables and counters will be wiped with disinfections in-between patients.
9. We ask that you wear a mask upon entering and again when leaving.
